The 24th and 25th will be busy days in the Village of Franklinville. Spring is here, and as more of us manage to venture out in to the fresh air, the Maple Fest Committee is rushing around getting all those last minute glitches resolved. Too much will be going on to list here, but a good time should be had by all.
The Franklinville Area Chamber will have a table there, so stop by to ask what’s going on. You will be surprised by the answers. The Welcome Wagon Directory will also be available there, as well as applications. We are always looking for additions to our membership. The next Chamber meeting is Wednesday April 7th, at 7 p.m. at the Town Hall. All are welcome to join us.

The next Chamber Meeting will be April 7th at 7:00 PM at the Franklinville Town Hall, keeping the 1st Wednesday of each month schedule.
The Membership forms went out in December. If you have not yet renewed, please do so soon. The annual dues for our chamber are very reasonable, and the Civic Membership (non-business) is something many chambers do not have. Naturally, we encourage ALL business owners in the area to join, and participate in our efforts to improve the economic outlook of our area. Our Civic members live, work and shop in our area, and deserve a voice in the chamber.
We want to hear your thoughts on improving our chamber, and our community.

Come to the Sleigh Bell Festival, Saturday December 5th, in the Franklinville Elementary School, from 9:00 to 4:30. Numerous crafters from near and far will be there with some GREAT ideas for the season. Another reason not to miss it, is “Breakfast With Santa”. Yes he will be there, he does have to fortify himself for all the tasks he has to complete on Christmas Day.

The 2009 Derby was sponsored by the Franklinville Area Chamber of Commerce, and it turned into a BEAUTIFUL day with lots of sunshine and GOOD FISHING.
Not everyone hooked their fish, but a good time seemed to be had by all. One photo made it into the Olean Times Herald, and the Mercury Gazette and the Sardinia Sentinal both had articles articles.
This year we hope to have as mony participants, if not more. One more thing – we ARE going to give TIM DASH a prime spot to fish. He has organized this derby for many years, an he wants to PARTICIPATE in it. Can’t blame him. Maybe he’ll share his catch ?
If you notice, there are TWO locations this year and TWO DATES. Come fish at either or better yet BOTH ! Same rules apply, and food will be available. Harwood Lake is by Harwood Haven, which has accomodations. Give John a call, to get set up.
